The Terran and Prometheus System in the Solomani Rim

This is my version of these two systems.

The Terra System
In the early years of space exploration, colonies were established throughout the
Solar system. Every satellite was explored at least superficially, and expeditions
even ventured into the depths of Jupiter's atmosphere. Although all colonies except
Luna were abandoned during the Long Night, they have since been re-established.

The Prometheus System
There are three main worlds in this system, Athena, Prometheus, and Aurora.
Athena is a superterrestrail world of size 9, but because of its lower density its gravity is remarkably Earthlike, it has no moon but the second sun in the sky more than makes up for that. Being a planet in a binary system Athena undergoes an 80 year cycle much like its brother planet Prometheus called the grand seasons, because of the twin star's elliptical orbit around their baricenter.

During grand spring and grand summer the ice caps melt and the ocean levels rise, there are an increased frequency of cyclonic weather
systems during this period, deserts retreat, and glaciers melt. During grand autumn and winter the climate cools with advancing glaciers, expanding
deserts and the flowering of sea levels. Because of this phenomenon, cities tend to be built some distance from the shoreline usually off of river banks
above what is informally called the grand high tide level. It is common for farmers to migrate north and South during the changes in grand seasons
as the climate zones also migrate North and South as well, different crops do better at different grand season in different locations.
Otherwise the ecology of Athena is much like Earth.

Prometheus is much like Athena in its grand seasons, except unlike Athena, it has very little seasonal variation in its local year. Prometheus in spite of being a size 7 planet has gravity that is approximately the same as Earth, this is due to its greater density, and greater metallic content of its core. Prometheus was the earliest settled planet in the system due to its proximity to the small gas giant Polyphemus, and the fact that a gold rush sparked early settlement soon after the jump drive was invented. Prometheus is a more tropical planet than Athena, its ice caps entirely disappear during grand summer where Athena's does not.

Planet Aurora is a cold eyeball planet, most of the settlement are on a single continent at the sub stellar point of the planet. The planet is tidally locked to its primary, so the residents must endure constant day light conditions. The atmosphere is tainted with volcanic particulates and sulfur-dioxide, the air is unpleasant to breathe, and filter masks are often worn to remove the smell of rotten eggs. The vegetation has been adapted to the local environment and the acid rainfall which can cause acid burns on exposed human skin.
