General What ship should I design for 3d printing?

ANNIC NOVA. 
(No, don't bother with making the Collector canopy retractable, just make interchangeable "folded" and "deployed" versions of it -- and the "deployed" one can be just the arms, to which a circular sheet of flat-black painted Mylar can be attached.)
... but do make the "manuever drives" pivot on the docking pylons!
